On 14 July 2017, LIC and LCASP CPMU organised a review workshop for the outputs of the first 6 months and the work plan for the last 6 months of 2017 in Thiên Cầm, Hà Tĩnh. Participants from CPMU include Mr. Nguyễn Thế Hinh, LCASP Project Director and various heads of divisions and project staff. Participants from LIC include Mr. Manohar, Team Leader, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Bộ, Deputy Team Leader, Mr. Bùi Bá Bổng, former Vice Minister of MARD and all LIC specialists and Provincial Coordinators. Representatives from Hà Tĩnh PPMU also attended the workshop.
Biogas digesters have helped many families have fuel every day, saving money and significantly reducing environmental pollution, especially in rural areas. But in reality, many people do not know how to properly operate and maintain the process of causing accident and risk.

Organic matter is the main factor causing pollution of surface water, groundwater (BOD, COD, N, P ...). Good handling of animal waste: It will protect surface water, long-term groundwater. Kill pathogenic germs, helminthes, human and animal diseases. Livestock waste is treated by biogas technology: completely destroy the germs and helminth eggs (99.9%).
The Low Carbon Agriculture Support Project is implemented on the basis of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) loan agreement signed between Vietnam and ADB on March 7, 2013. The project has 4 components and total investment of 48,170,000 SDR (approximately $ 74 million). Of which credit is 23,239,000 SDR (approximately $ 32 million).
On the morning of March 24, 2017, the Management Board of the Low Carbon Agricultural Support Project held a meeting to review the work of 2016 and implement the 2017 plan in Nam Dinh city.
On January 16, 2016, Agrifood Consulting Company and Asia Development Consultancy Joint-Venture Company held a conference to summarize the Project Management Assistance Low carbon in 2016 and plans to deploy activities in 2017 in Lao Cai City Sapa.
In December 2016, the Low Carbon Agricultural Support Project organized two training courses on the management of animal waste in Phu Tho and Tien Giang provinces. Attending and opening classes held in Phu Tho province were Mr. Nguyen The Hinh - Project Director and Mr. Ta Huu Nghia - Head of the GN-ASXH Office, Department of Cooperative Economics and Rural Development.
In order to strengthen the team of technicians, engineers, contractors and builders of medium biogas plants in the provinces participating in the project, the LCASP has organized a training course in Can Tho city. Attending the training were participants from the Central Project Management Unit, Ha Tinh, Binh Dinh, Tien Giang, Ben Tre and Soc Trang provinces.
Recently, the Low Carbon Agricultural Support Project in collaboration with the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences organized a training workshop on low carbon agricultural production: carbon credit market, biogas value chain and Biogas technology in 05 days from 19/12/2016 in Hanoi.
