The Low Carbon Agricultural Support Project (LCASP) is being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) from 2013 to 2018 in 10 provinces. Our province aims to build a sustainable, efficient and environmentally friendly agricultural production; Create energy s

Technicians inspect the works of the project.

The LCASP project has four components: livestock waste management; Credit for biogas value chains; Transfer of low carbon technology; project management. From 2013 to May 2015, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development assigns Phu Tho Intermediate School of Agriculture and Forestry to instruct and implement the project. From May 2015, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development directly organizes and directs the implementation of the project. The project management board of the province has carried out many specific activities, ensuring the objectives of the project. Information dissemination activities have been implemented in many forms, which have helped the authorities, mass organizations at all levels and people know and care about the project and change their perceptions of clean energy and energy. Agarwood and oriented towards sustainable agricultural development associated with environmental protection. The project management board has guided people to register and complete the necessary procedures to support construction and installation of the biogas plant so the project implementation is smooth and effective. By 31 August, the LCASP project has trained 69 technicians and 42 builders involved in the project; Organized 370 training courses on biogas works for 6,558 turns of farmers. The training of biogas plant construction households has been carefully considered and implemented by the project. 100% of households are trained and know how to use, fire prevention, gas asphyxia. There are no cases of fire or asphyxiation in the province due to the use of biogas plants. The Project Management Board also organized 20 training courses on compost from agricultural by-products for 845 households. Through the support of the project has built 6,530 small biogas plants, 4 medium biogas plants; Has provided financial support to 4,452 small works; Developed 13 models of separation for large scale livestock farms. In 2016, 2,268 biogas plants under the LCASP project were built. The province has the highest number of biogas plants installed / installed among the 10 participating provinces.

In fact, the implementation of the LCASP project has helped localities better manage waste, develop livestock in a safe and sustainable way, contributing to reduce environmental pollution in rural areas. The biogas plants also create clean energy sources, improve livelihoods and improve the quality of life for rural people, contributing to the implementation of important criteria such as: environment, income, poor households ... in construction Set up new countryside. The economic benefits from this project are enormous. According to calculations of the project management board, a household using gas from a biogas plant replacing industrial gas, firewood, coal and electricity will save VND100,000 / month (VND 1.2 million / month). / Works / year). With the number of works of the project as now, people will save 7.8 billion each year. In addition, the environmental problem solved will limit risks in livestock, protect human health, reduce costs of medical examination and treatment.

Mr. Dang Van Khiem, Dong Thinh Commune, Yen Lap District said excitedly: "Previously, there were no biogas tanks in my family, only small-scale breeding for fear of wastes and wastewater polluting the environment. Since constructing my biogas reactor, my family has invested in the building of a farm of 25 sows, 2 sows, and more than 100 pigs. Every year, my family earns hundreds of millions of dong. Having a biogas reactor not only solves environmental problems, it also develops large-scale breeding but also saves money as my family uses gas from biogas without using industrial gas, charcoal ... and save electricity. "

Seeing the effect from the biogas plant, many households in the province have learned and follow their own. Up to now, there have been 27,000 biogas plants in the province, of which the LCASP project has built over 6,000 works, the QSEAP project has built 3,300 works, the NSV project has built 2,800 works, Self-construction and other works of about 15,000 works. Thanks to the biogas plant, many households have invested in the development of livestock on a large scale. There are about 200 thousand households in the province, about 820 thousand pigs, 11 million poultry, 170 thousand buffaloes and cows; Of which there are 3,000 farm scale farms.

It is expected that in the future, animal husbandry is an area of growing interest in both size and quantity, so environmental pressures are on the increase. Through the survey, it is expected that by 2018 within the framework of the project, the province will build about 15,000 small-sized projects, 20 medium-sized projects in the project and composting and separating models. The provincial PMU continues to implement measures to promote the activities of the project to contribute to the reduction of environmental pollution, the sustainable development of livestock and to accelerate the process of building new rural areas.
