Low carbon agricultural support project to build biogas plant in Ben Tre

Over nearly 3 years of implementation, the Ben Tre low-carbon agricultural support project funded by the Asian Development Bank has built nearly 3,300 small-scale biogas plants in 8 districts and cities.

The number of households involved in the construction of the biogas plant under the project is more concentrated in Mo Cay Nam District, with over 1,200 works and Mo Cay Bac District with nearly 800 works. Recently, there are a large number of farmers in Giong Trom and Ba Tri districts approaching the project. At present, these two districts have built about 830 works. The goal of the project is to build a sustainable, environmentally friendly farming model.

In order to ensure that the livestock households who need to build biogas plants benefit from the project, the technical staff of the project always intensifies propaganda activities, Bridge and facilitate access to the model. In 2016, a project to support low carbon agriculture in Ben Tre strives to build 1,700 biogas plants. In the first five months of 2016, localities have built nearly 700 works.
