For pork, in 2016 has recorded a dramatic increase in exports of pork products with a 40% increase compared to 2015, can reach about 100 thousand tons in 2016.
However, up to this point, the export of livestock products has not yet become a spearhead in the structure of major agricultural sectors. This is one of the issues that the agriculture sector in general as well as MARD is disturbed and has set the resolve to remove it in the coming time to turn the product into a spearhead export.
Recently, under the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has assigned specialized agencies of the agriculture sector to work, negotiate and sign with some countries in the region (especially China National) to make veterinary agreements on which to promote official export of some major livestock products, first of all milk and pork products.
